Parks & Open Space

South Head Masterplan

CONTEXT was tasked by the NSW National Parks & Wildlife Service (NPWS) to develop a masterplan for the South Head precinct of Sydney Harbour National Park, an iconic and culturally significant landscape in Sydney. South Head holds a rich cultural narrative encompassing Aboriginal heritage, European settlement, and its role in protection and defence.

Macquarie Park Enhancement Project

CONTEXT led the masterplan and detailed design for the transformation of Macquarie Park, a riverfront destination along the Hawkesbury River at Windsor. Commissioned by Hawkesbury City Council and supported by the NSW Government’s Places to Swim initiative, the project enhances public access to the river, revitalises a historically significant swimming spot, and reimagines the park as a safe, inclusive and ecologically responsive place for recreation.

Lane Cove National Park Precinct Plan

Commissioned by the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service, CONTEXT prepared a 20-year precinct plan for Lane Cove National Park, grounded in a vision that acknowledges the site’s Aboriginal heritage, post-1788 history, and rich natural values.

Kalkari Discovery Centre Precinct Plan, Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park

Commissioned by the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS), CONTEXT prepared a long-term precinct plan for the Kalkari Discovery Centre in the south-west of Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park. The plan sets a 30+ year vision to reimagine the precinct as a destination where nature, culture, community, and education converge.

Dharaggang Park, Wolli Creek

A vacant plot in Wolli Creek has been transformed into a vibrant recreational park that caters to all ages and abilities. Designed to encourage connection with nature through play, the park features inclusive play elements and sensory-rich areas, ensuring accessibility for everyone.
