Big congratulations to Buchan and Mather Architecture on taking home the Urban Design Award at the 2025 ACT Architecture Awards for Scotts Crossing.
In the heart of Canberra, this project redefines what a city street can be, transforming it into a richly layered, pedestrian-first space that connects people, place and purpose.
Following the delivery of Stage 1 of Section 96, CONTEXT led the landscape architecture that focused on the design of the shared street and plaza, bringing a focus on human-scaled public spaces, integrated planting and comfort-driven design.
Bespoke furniture by Street Furniture Australia invites visitors to dwell, rest and play, while generous planting, gardens and public art under the overpass add warmth and identity to the urban experience.
