Design Features

The Park

The competition winning entry by the team highlights improvements to the waterfront promenades and parklands, including the creation of a civic lawn fronting the Victoria Theatre, new events spaces, streetscape improvements, new playground, two sets of water steps, special lighting, new signage, street furnishings and extensive landscaping for the precinct.

Transport

Building on the significance of the site as a major tourist destination, special provisions have also been made for tourist buses and a Heritage Trail through the site.

Formula one

Special provision is made for the Formula One Grand Prix and Defence Force march past events held regularly in the precinct.
