‘Seascape’ on Fig Tree Hill, Forster

The recently completed and publicly dedicated open space parklands at Fig Tree Hill Estate near Taree has become an exemplar of a constructed ecology within a sensitive coastal location. The extent and quality of the works creates an immediate positive image for prospective buyers whilst creating a new recreational resource for the surrounding community.

The landscape master plan now delivered on the ground seamlessly intermeshed the often conflicting demands of urban settlement with koala corridors, asset protection zones, riparian corridor rehabilitation, water sensitive urban drainage, bushland regeneration, landscape restoration, open space design and regional access tracks. The lengthy community consultation was instrumental in forging the unique image for the site and creating a range of settings which are true of the place.
